The best laid plans....
I had full intentions on publishing something every week in February. It didn't happen, obviously. How do I stay on a steady schedule? Do I need to schedule it like I do a meeting or something like that? Help me out. If you blog regularly, then how do you keep it up? I am always amazed at the YouTubers who create content twice a week. How much time does that take? I've got to figure this out.
I REALLY need to concentrate on saving money. Following a spending plan. For real! The epiphany came to me this month after receiving some disappointing news about opportunities that would have helped me out financially. I haven't filed my taxes yet but we have already been forewarned that the tax returns have been greatly diminished due to the new tax laws that went into effect in 2019. I'm hoping that I won't have to pay the government after years of receiving a nice return. But, hey. I have a lot for which to be thankful. I still have a job and it's going fine. I have a roof over my head. Two roofs, actually. So I shouldn't complain. Anywho, the epiphany that came was that God would not bless me with more if I'm not a good steward with what I have now. And doesn't that make sense? If you're a parent and you see your child playing over a plate of food, don't you either make them eat the food, put it away for later or throw it away? You probably don't give them more food at that point because the child didn't handle the food that you gave them before. The same holds true for my finances, I realized. So I'm starting up my budgeting again (I use the Total Money app by Dave Ramsey for mine) and I'm going to work on ways to save dough. I want to get a manicure tomorrow. Well, I think I'll just shape my nails with an emory board and will slap some clear polish on them for now.
I'm training for the Milwaukee Marathon. Running more now. How do I discipline myself to ensure that I'm eating enough throughout the day so that I'm properly fueled and don't lose weight? That's tough. I should probably be eating every 3-4 hours. Ain't happening. And what am I eating? I've got to track it better with the My Fitness Pal app. Gotta ensure that I get enough calories. Michael Phelps ate thousands of calories when he swam in the Olympics because he knew that he would burn it off. I need to add more to my daily intake because I will run it off.
I'm tired. Not going to bed as I should. Need help with that.
Thanks for letting me vent. I'll address all fo this more in the coming months.
